Frequently Asked Questions |

Q-What geographical area do you cover with your fishing reports? A-70% of my coverage is of the Southern California/Northern Baja area from Pt. Conception to Ensenada. The next 20% is the Mexican and Central American Pacific Coast. The final 10% is any other saltwater area I visit or my friends experience.
Q-How do you get your information? A-Either from first hand personal trips or from my close network of captains and fishermen.
Q-Why should I take your advice and tips as credible? A-Because they work. I catch a lot of fish. This is because of experience, information, persistence, and a good dose of luck.
Q-If I listen to you will I constantly catch a lot of fish too? A-You will have excellent, good, and bad days like we all do, but yes, over time I know you will catch more fish. You will also be more aware and appreciative of everything else out on the water.
Q-Why aren’t your reports updated more often? A-For what we are learning together I don’t think it is necessary. I will report when conditions change for better or worse. There are a lot of daily reports sources out there such as 876-TUNA, JDs Big Game, Allcoast, and more that do fine on the daily details.
Q-Should I charter your boat and fish with you? A-If you like an experience with just a few anglers (1-3), low keyed, knowledgeable, hard fishing, and reasonable, I’d say yes. If you want to run 160 miles round trip in a day, in any sea conditions, with 6 passengers, at substantial higher cost, I can point you to a number of successful 6 pak boats form Newport to San Diego that will do well for you.
Q-Do you have an agenda? A-Yes. I want to share my experience and information to make you a better angler and better steward of the sea. Politically or commercially I have no agenda except for freedom to fish, catch, and protect the resource.
